Adani Enterprises Ltd (AEL), announced that its Adani Road Transport Ltd (ARTL) has signed an agreement to acquire Maharashtra Border Check Post Network Ltd (MBCPNL), a subsidiary of Sadbhav Infrastructure Project Limited (SIPL).

  • ARTL, which develops, constructs, operates and manages roads and highway projects in India.
  • As per agreement ARTL will acquire a 49% stake in MBCPNL at first, with an option to acquire additional stake subject to regulatory approval.

The prominent acquisitions and expansions by Adani Group in mentioned below:

May 2021: To expand renewable energy portfolio, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), announced the acquisition of 100% interest in SB Energy India from SBG (80%) and Bharti Group (20%) in approximately USD 3.5 billion deal.

April 2021: To strengthen supply chain infrastructure, Flipkart announced a strategic and commercial partnership with the Adani Group. Flipkart will work with Adani Logistics Limited to strengthen Flipkart’s supply chain infrastructure and further enhance its ability to serve its rapidly growing base of customers.

March 2021: To strengthen position in port management in India, the Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) Ltd., announced to acquire 58.1% stake from DVS Raju and family in Gangavaram Port Limited (GPL) for approximately USD 541 million. Now, APSEZ would have 89.6% stake in GPL.

March 2021: To boost sustainable energy production, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), had announced the acquisition of 100% stake in an SPV holding 50 MW operating solar project from SkyPower Global. The solar project is located in Telangana, India.

Feb 2021: The accelerate IT infrastructure in India, Adani Enterprises and EdgeConneX, announced the creation of AdaniConneX a new joint 50:50 venture. The JV would develop and operate data centers across India.

Feb 2021: To expand ports footprint in India, Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd. (APSEZ) completed the acquisition of Dighi Port Limited (DPL) for approximately USD 96 million. DPL is 12th port to join APSEZ’s string of economic gateways across the eastern and western coast of India.

Jan 2021: To expand presence in green energy fields in India Total agreed to acquire 20% minority stake in Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) from Adani Group for approximately $2.5 billion. As per deal Total will acquire 50% stake in a 2.35 GWac portfolio of operating solar assets owned by AGEL .

Nov 2020: The India’s leading power transmission company Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL), has acquired 49% stake in Alipurduar Transmission Limited from Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. (KPTL) in India. Alipurduar Transmission operates transmission lines aggregating to around 650 ckt kms in West Bengal and Bihar state in India.

Sep 2020: India’s leading airport operator Adani Airports Limited announced to acquire majority interest in Mumbai Airports, India. Adani Airports Limited is a part of India’s energy giant Adani Group. The acquisition of Mumbai airports helps Adani Group to redesign the customer service and bridge company’s B2C and B2B business models.

Aug 2020: Indian renewable energy company Adani Green Energy a subsidiary of Adani Group, has strengthen its partnership with Siemens Gamesa for one of the largest wind power projects in India. As per agreement Siemens Gamesa will deliver 215 SG 2.2-122 wind turbines, totalling 473 MW wind power project.

July 2020: Adani Group’s transmission and distribution business arm Adani Transmission Ltd (ATL) has signed a definitive agreement with Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd. (KPTL) for acquiring Alipurduar Transmission Ltd.

June 2020: India’s leading energy company Adani Group has announced that its subsidiary Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has won the first of its kind manufacturing linked solar agreement from the Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). AGEL will develop 8 GW of solar projects along with a commitment that will see Adani Solar establish 2 GW of additional solar cell and module manufacturing capacity.

April 2020: France based leading energy player TOTAL S.A announced that its step-down subsidiary has invested approximately $486 million for 50% partnership with Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) in a Joint Venture (JV) in India. The JV houses 2.148 GW operating solar projects across 11 states in India.
