The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) in partnership with Fertiglobe, has sold its first cargo of blue ammonia to Itochu in Japan, for use in fertilizer production. Fertiglobe is a 58:42 partnership between OCI and ADNOC

  • Fertiglobe will produce blue ammonia at its Fertil plant in the Ruwais Industrial Complex in Abu Dhabi for delivery to ADNOC’s customers in Japan.
  • Company is partnering with Itochu to unlock new opportunities for blue ammonia in fertilizer production

July 2021: To explore the commercial potential of blue ammonia production in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced a joint study agreement (JSA) with two Japanese companies – INPEX Corporation (INPEX), JERA Co., Inc. (JERA), and a government agency, the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC).

June 2021: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) had signed a partnership agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (Reliance), for a new chemical projects at TA’ZIZ in Ruwais, UAE. The partners will develop a worldscale chlor-alkali, ethylene dichloride and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production facility at TA’ZIZ.

May 2021: In order to boost capacity, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), announced an investment of up to $318 million. The ADNOC invest to connect newly drilled smart wells to the main production facilities at Bu Hasa, Abu Dhabi.

April 2021: To strengthen logistics, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)’s the shipping and maritime logistics arm ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), had acquired two additional Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC).

March 2021: To boost production of oil and gas the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced a strategic framework agreement with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). The collaboration helps to explore opportunities in the exploration, development, and production of conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon resources in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Nov 2020: The leading petrochemical company the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) and ADQ, one of the region’s largest holding companies announced a new joint venture TA’ZIZ to drive growth in UAE Chemicals Sector.

June 2020: The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) had entered into an agreement with some of the world’s leading infrastructure investors and operators, to invest in select ADNOC gas pipeline assets valued at $20.7 billion.

December 2019: The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) signed, a Framework Agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) to explore development of an Ethylene Dichloride facility in Ruwais.

November 2019: The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced, a partnership with Honeywell as it embarks on one of the largest predictive maintenance projects in the oil and gas industry. Under the terms of a 10-year partnership agreement, ADNOC will utilize Honeywell’s state-of-the-art asset monitoring and predictive analytics platfom to maximize asset efficiency and integrity across ADNOC’s upstream and downstream operations.
