To explore the commercial potential of blue ammonia production in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), The Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced a joint study agreement (JSA) with two Japanese companies INPEX Corporation (INPEX), JERA Co., Inc. (JERA), and a government agency, the Japan Oil, Gas and Metals National Corporation (JOGMEC).
- The agreement builds on ADNOCs low-carbon fuels leadership and extensive experience in carbon capture and storage.
- During the meeting, the ministers reviewed The joint efforts between both countries will enhance industrial cooperation and drive new opportunities for partnerships in Hydrogen, renewables, and climate change following a series of framework agreements ADNOC signed with Japans METI as well as other Japanese companies earlier this year.

June 2021: Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) has signed a partnership agreement with Reliance Industries Limited (Reliance), for a new chemical projects at TAZIZ in Ruwais, UAE. The partners will develop a worldscale chlor-alkali, ethylene dichloride and polyvinyl chloride (PVC) production facility at TAZIZ.
May 2021: In order to boost capacity, the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC), announced an investment of up to $318 million. The ADNOC will invest to connect newly drilled smart wells to the main production facilities at Bu Hasa, Abu Dhabi.
April 2021: To strengthen logistics, Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC)s the shipping and maritime logistics arm ADNOC Logistics & Services (ADNOC L&S), has acquired two additional Very Large Crude Carriers (VLCC).
March 2021: To boost production of oil and gas the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) announced a strategic framework agreement with Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). The collaboration helps to explore opportunities in the exploration, development, and production of conventional and unconventional hydrocarbon resources in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Under the terms of a 10-year partnership agreement, ADNOC will utilize Honeywells state-of-the-art asset monitoring and predictive analytics platfom to maximize asset efficiency and integrity across ADNOCs upstream and downstream operations.
