The global semiconductor company AMD (Advanced Micro Devices Inc) agreed to acquire to acquire Xilinx in approximately $35 billion. Xilinx is the inventor of the FPGA and Adaptive SoCs, designed to deliver the most dynamic processor technology. The merger will create the industrys leading high performance computing company.
