The global brewing company Anheuser-Busch, will expand its facility in Cartersville, Georgia, the USA. The company plans to invest approximately $85 million and will create 12 new jobs at Cartersville.

Anheuser-Busch makes 20 global beer brands at the Cartersville facility which was launched in 1993. The investment in Bartow County operation will help expand the production of recently certified organic Michelob ULTRA Pure Gold. by the company.

In 2015, AB InBev had announced $1.5 billion investment strategy for its American breweries growth in packaging and other enhancements.

Major recent investments and deals by Anheuser-Busch in 2019 are mentioned below:

  • September 2019: Anheuser-Busch InBev announced the acquisition of “key assets” from Markstein Beverage Co. in San Marcos, California, the USA. The company will add those assets to its existing wholly owned distributor, Anheuser-Busch Sales of San Diego.
  • August 2019: Anheuser-Busch’s Brewers Collective had acquired Platform Beer Co., a Cleveland based fast growing regional brewery. Platform Beer operates Ohio’s three largest metropolitan cities: Cleveland, Cincinnati and Columbus.
  • July 2019: Anheuser-Busch InBev agreed to sell its Australian operations to Tokyo based Asahi Group for $11.3 billion. After this deal Asahi would become the world’s third biggest brewer after AB InBev and Heineken. Asahi is the second largest supplier of premium international beers in Australia.
