Ther leading specialty chemical company Arkema announces the proposed acquisition of Germany based Fixatti, specialized in high-performance thermobonding adhesive powders.
- Fixatti develops and markets a diversified range of high-performance, environmentally friendly thermobonding powders
- This acquisition will enable Bostik to strengthen its global offering of hotmelt adhesive solutions for niche industrial applications in the construction, technical coating, battery, automotive, and textile printing markets.
- Fixatti is a renowned company, which operates two sites in Europe and one in China, employs 180 people.
In April 2020, Jeonju City in Jeollabuk-do announced that Korea Institute of Carbon Convergence Technology (KCTECH) signed a business agreement with Arkema, a multinational company headquartered in France, in order to improve the level of carbon composite technology and explore overseas markets. KCTECH and Arkema also agreed to support cooperative research and technical development of carbon composites along with projects and programs for the development of new technologies.
In January 2020, Bostik completed the acquisition of LIP Bygningsartikler AS (LIP), the Danish leader in tile adhesives, waterproofing systems and floor preparation solutions. This acquisition, like the Prochimir acquisition finalized
in October 2019, is in line with Arkemas strategy to continuously grow its Adhesives business through bolt-on acquisitions which complement Bostiks geographic presence, product ranges and technologies.
In October 2019, Arkema completed the acquisitions of Prochimir, manufacturer of high-performance adhesive films, and Lambson, specialized in photoinitiators for photocure resins.
