UK’s leading EV manufacturer Arrival has acquired a new production facility of over 120,600 sq ft space in Oxfordshire. Arrival manufactures revolutionising electric vehicles with Generation 2 solution. The EV manufacturing in microfactories would help Arrival to serve the local community and respond rapidly to local demand.
In January 2020 Arrival received following funds and orders for EV’s:
- Hyundai Motor Company and Kia Motors Corporation invested around $110 million in the company. The investment marks the start of a strategic partnership between the automakers to jointly accelerate the adoption of commercial electric vehicles globally.
- UPS ordered a huge quantity of bespoke purpose built electric vehicles from Arrival, the initial order of 10,000 vehicles will be rolled out over 2020-2024 with the option for a further order of 10,000. Arrival’s Generation 2 Electric Vehicles are a new category of electric vehicles that surpass traditional vehicles in cost, design and efficiency with 50% operational cost savings for fleet owners.
Arrival is a London based global technology company, which has created Generation 2 Electric Vehicles – a new product category which surpasses existing vehicles in cost, design and efficiency. The company was founded in 2015, and it has more than 800 people globally with offices in Germany, Netherlands, Israel, Russia and the USA.
The company has developed components, software, sustainable materials and modular skateboard platforms to enable Generation 2 vehicles. Purpose Built Vehicles of any type, weight, size and shape are produced from Arrival’s platforms. The company’s vehicle are priced the same, or less than, current fossil fuel vehicles help to switch to electric inevitable.
