Axalta Mobility expands in China with new coatings facility in Northern China. The company broke ground for 46,000-square-meter new state-of-the-art coatings facility in Jilin City, Jilin Province, North China.
- The new facilitywill produce mobility coatings to support growing customer demand in China for light vehicles, commercial vehicles, and automotive plastic components.
- The new plant is scheduled to open in 2023 and will mainly produce basecoats, primers, and clearcoats used in Axalta’s eco-friendly processes such as high solids technology.

March 2021: For electric and electronic consumers Axalta announced to acquire wire enamels producer Anhui Shengran Insulating Materials Co., Ltd. The addition of Anhui Shengran will be highly complementary to Axalta’s existing Energy Solutions portfolio.
May 2020: Axalta, announced that its Tlalnepantla facility, in Mexico, had shifted its manufacturing capabilities to produce more than 1,000 liters of hand sanitizer in response to COVID -19 pandemic. The sanitizer manufactured in Mexico donated to local healthcare facilities.
