The Institute for Digital Engineering and Life Sciences has announced to acquire Portland, Maine manufacturing facility of B&G Foods, Inc. The Portland property will become the future home of The Roux Institute at Northeastern University.

  • B&G Foods plans to move manufacturing operations of B&M, Underwood and certain other brands to third-party co-manufacturing facilities and existing B&G Foods manufacturing facilities.
  • The B&M manufacturing building will become the anchor of The Roux Campus, providing an incubator lab and office space for start-up companies.

In Oct 2020, the leading pickles manufacturer B&G Foods, Inc signed an agreement to acquire the iconic Crisco brand of oils and shortening from The J.M. Smucker Co. for approx. $550 million. Crisco is an excellent complement to B&G Foods brand Clabber Girl and other baking powder brands.

In Feb 2020, B&G Foods, Inc. had acquired Farmwise LLC, a proud creator of Veggie Fries®, Veggie Tots® and Veggie Rings®.Farmwise, have done a tremendous job developing delicious, plant-based products, including Veggie Fries®, Veggie Tots® and Veggie Rings®, that both parents and children love.
