The leading luxury apparel manufacturer Canada Goose Holdings Inc. announced its plans to rise up domestic production of personal protective equipment (PPE) for frontline healthcare workers across Canada.
The company is committed to manufacture and donate 14,000 units of gowns and scrubs at free of cost. It produced in two of its Toronto and Winnipeg facilities, product shipments to hospitals and healthcare facilities across Canada within a month. As per the contract, Canada Goose will produce at approximately 60,000 gowns per week, with plans to deliver up to 1.5 million.
In March 2020, Canada Goose announced that the company will leverage its manufacturing facilities to begin production of necessary medical gear for frontline healthcare workers and patients across Canada in the fight against COVID-19 pandemic.
In April 2019, Canada Goose announced plans to open six new stores with two in Europe, one in the United States and three in Canada. Set to open in fall/winter 2019, the new stores highlight the increasing demand both at home and internationally for the performance luxury brand.
