The leading specialty chemical company Clariant, announced the construction of a new state-of-the-art catalyst production site in China. This investment further strengthens Clariants position in China. The new facility will be producing CATOFIN catalyst for propane dehydrogenation.

In Aug 2020: Clariants Business Line Biofuels and Derivatives announced a strategic partnership with Chemtex Global Corporation for the realization of second-generation biofuel projects. Under the partnership, the two parties will collaborate to market and sell Clariants sunliquid® technology licenses, as well as services and supplies for advanced biofuel plants in China.
In July 2020: Clariant, a focused, sustainable and innovative specialty chemical company, completed the sale of its entire Masterbatches business to PolyOne. The enterprise value of the sale, which consists of separate transactions for Clariants global Masterbatches business and its Masterbatches business in India, amounts to approximately USD 1,560 million which is equivalent to c. 12.2 times the last twelve months reported EBITDA.
