Chicago-based leading private equity firm Entrepreneurial Equity Partners (e2p), has announced that one of its portfolio companies, Daniele International, has merged with Creminelli Fine Meats, LLC. Creminelli is headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah, the USA. This acquisition marks the fourth transaction for e2p.
Creminelli, a leading producer and distributor of premium charcuterie and protein snacks, produces a wide variety of products that includes charcuterie snack trays, artisan deli, deli trays, artisan salami, and salami minis. The companys clean-label inputs and use of humanely raised animals have made it the top protein snacking brand of million consumers.
In April 2019, Entrepreneurial Equity Partners acquired Superior Cake Products through its frozen bakery goods provider Sara Lee Frozen Bakery from Hostess Brands for $65 million. Superior Cake has been baking quality products for more than a century; its product range included Éclairs, Madeleines, Brownie Bites, Black and White Cookies, and other offerings made under the Superior brand name.
