In order to accelerate research & development (R&D) capabilities, Dell Technologies announce to open a USD 50 million Global Innovation Hub (GIH) in Singapore. This is first-of-its-kind innovation centre situated outside of the companys global headquarters in the United States.
- The GIH has created more than 160 job opportunities in emerging technologies in Singapore
- This investment will go towards developments in digital experiences.
- The GIH will focus on advancing multiple growth areas for digital transformation including augmented/mixed reality, data analytics, cloud-native, cybersecurity and edge computing.

February 2020: Symphony Technology Group, led a consortium of Ontario Teachers Pension Plan Board (Ontario Teachers) and AlpInvest Partners (AlpInvest) had announced a definitive agreement with Dell Technologies to acquire RSA for approximately $2 billion.
