The world logistic leader DHL Supply Chain announced an expanded partnership with autonomous mobile robots (AMR) leader Locus Robotics. The new partnership includes 10 new, nationwide deployments of the Locus AMR solution in 2020. DHL Supply Chain is a part of Deutsche Post DHL Group.
Locus Robotics provides autonomous mobile robots (AMR) for fulfillment warehouses and logistic center. The LocusBots navigate autonomously within warehouses to quickly locate and transport pick item. It helps in reducing time spent on routine or physically demanding tasks, reducing manual errors and increasing productivity. The company with the help of multi-bot solution incorporates powerful and intelligent autonomous mobile robots that operate collaboratively with human workers to dramatically improve piece-handling productivity 2X-3X, with less labor compared to traditional picking systems.

February 2020: DHL Express has expressed its intentions to expand its operations and investments in Egypt. The Egyptian market is one of the largest, and most significant markets for DHL in the region and the expansion will also strengthens Egypt’s position as a logistics hub in the African continent.
November 2019: DHL Express officially opened its new, environmentally friendly logistics center at the Cologne-Bonn Airport with a total investment of US$1.1 billion. The new 15,000 m² logistics center of DHL, features cutting edge sorting technology and an innovative system to heat and cool the warehouse and office. It also features ice-energy-storage solution with over 1.3 million liters holding capacity and 18 kilometers of piping. DHL is using technologies at the airport, to ensures the hub stays cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Combined with a heat pump and solar panels on the roof, the solution is entirely emissions-free.
November 2019: DHL Group expanded with a new state-of-the-art mega parcel center in Bochum, Germany. The new Bochum center has a sorting capacity of up to 50,000 shipments per hour. The Obertshausen parcel center near Frankfurt, is the largest DHL parcel center in Germany and also one of the most efficient parcel centers in all of Europe.
October 2019: DHL eCommerce Solutions announced a new partnership with ACS Air Courier Services Ltd., a parcel service based in Cyprus, to strengthen cross-border parcel shipping.
September 2019: DHL Freight, one of the leading providers of road transport services in Europe, announced the opening of its newest freight hub in the Airport Business Park in Langenhagen.
