The global Alcoholic beverage leader Diageo announced that it has reached agreement to acquire Aviation American Gin through the acquisition of Aviation Gin LLC and Davos Brands LLC for approximately $610 million.
- Aviation American Gin is an American style gin crafted with a blend of botanicals, with subtle juniper notes, delivering a smooth balanced flavour profile.
- Along with this deal, Diageo is also acquiring the other brands in the Davos Brands portfolio consisting of Astral Tequila, Sombra Mezcal and TYKU Sake.
In March 2020: Diageo, announced that its subsidiary Guinness is establishing a $2 million fund providing support to communities affected by COVID-19 in Ireland. The fund will support bar staff, alongside a further 300,000 to elderly vulnerable people through a partnership with ALONE
With the closure of pubs around the country the fund will protect local communities.
In addition to its funding of $300,500, Guinness is also pledging the time of its team at St. Jamess Gate Brewery and the Guinness Storehouse to support ALONEs Befriending service.
