The global supply chain and express serves provider FedEx Corp announced that its subsidiary FedEx Logistics, Inc., is providing essential supply chain services to support the fight against COVID-19.

  • FedEx is supplying Medline personal protective equipment (PPE) from a FedEx Logistics facility located in the Panama Pacifico Free Trade Zone and Panama, to hospitals in South America, Central America and the Caribbean
  • Medline is a manufacturer and distributor of medical supplies and clinical programs.
  • Till now 850,200 face masks have been shipped to hospitals throughout the region with help from FedEx Express, the world’s largest express transportation company.

    In May 2020, FedEx Corp. signed a new multiyear collaboration with Microsoft Corp. to help transform commerce by combining the global digital and logistics network of FedEx with the power of Microsoft’s intelligent cloud.
    Together, FedEx and Microsoft aim to create opportunities for their customers through multiple joint offerings powered by Azure and Dynamics 365 that will use data and analytics solutions to reinvent the most critical aspects of the commerce experience and enable businesses to better compete in today’s increasingly digital landscape.

    In February 200, FedEx Corp. started construction on electronic DC (direct current) charging stations back in January, and announced the next phase of its electric vehicle rollout. Through an agreement with Chanje Energy Inc., the company plans to electrify 42 FedEx stations in California, making it one of the largest deployments of integrated charging infrastructure by a single commercial fleet to date.

    In October 2019, FedEx Cross Border, a subsidiary of FedEx Corp. announced the expansion of its global e-commerce business to new locations in Saddle Brook, NJ, (U.S.), Fontana, CA, (U.S.) and Venlo (The Netherlands).
