To expand in healthier snacking market the Ferrero Group signed a definitive agreement to acquire Eat Natural, the maker of high-quality cereal bars, toasted muesli and granola. As per deal the Ferrero Group will take over the production facilities in Halstead, UK, and plans to retain the management and the employees of the businesses.

  • The Ferrero Group plans to maintain and further build Eat Natural’s strong brand authenticity, while supporting the company with distribution and expansion to new markets and category segments opportunities.
  • Eat Natural are an excellent strategic fit for the Ferrero Group to expand overall footprint and product offerings into the healthier snacking market segment

In Nov 2020: Ferrero, announced that its group company Ferrero North America plans to build a new chocolate manufacturing center in Bloomington, Illinois, the USA. The expansion anticipated to create approximately 50 local jobs.
In Nov 2020, Ferrero announced to support the ILO to implement a 40-month project in Turkey to contribute to the elimination of the worst forms of child labour in seasonal agriculture in hazelnut harvesting.

In April 2019, The Ferrero Group announced to acquire the cookie, fruit and fruit-flavored snack, ice cream cone and pie crust businesses from Kellogg Company for $1.3 billion (or €1.16 billion at current exchange rates). These businesses generated sales of approximately $900 million in 2018.

January 2018, The Ferrero Group and its affiliated companies announced a definitive agreement pursuant to which it will acquire the U.S. confectionary business from Nestlé for $2.8 billion in cash. Nestlé’s U.S. confectionary business generated sales of approximately $900 million in 2016.
