Ford Motor, a leading automotive company, is investing approximately $1.4 billion in two southeast Michigan manufacturing facilities and adding more than 3,000 new jobs. The new investment will strengthen the companys leadership position in trucks and SUVs manufacturing and support its expansion into electric and autonomous vehicles.
As per the plan, Ford is investing around $750 million and adding 2,700 new jobs at its manufacturing facility in Wayne, Michigan, during the next three years. The company will support the production of the all-new Ford Bronco and Ford Ranger, and also it will create a new modification center at the Wayne location.
At Fords Dearborn manufacturing site in Michigan, the company will invest about $700 million and will add more than 300 new jobs at the facility. The new investment will support the production of new electrified variants of its F-150 truck, producing both an F-150 hybrid and fully electric F-150. The new F-150, F-150 hybrid, and all-electric F-150 expand Fords truck leadership in the USA.

- October 2019: Indias Mahindra & Mahindra Limited has signed a definitive agreement with Ford Motor Company to create a joint venture to develop, market, and distribute Ford brand vehicles in India and other emerging markets around the world.
- September 2019: Ford Motor Company opened its new customer contact center in Houston, US. The company added approximately 500 new jobs at the Houston contact center.
- July 2019: Ford and Volkswagen of Germany announced expansion of their global alliance to include electric vehicles, and they will also collaborate with Argo AI to introduce autonomous vehicle technology in the U.S. and Europe.
