Ford announced the expansion of the Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, Van Dyke Electric Powertrain Center and Rawsonville Components Plant in America. The company will invest $250 million and adding 450 more direct jobs across the USA.

The prominent investments and partnerships by Ford Motor are featured below:

June 2021: In order to boost energy management Ford acquires Electriphi. California-based Electriphi is a charging management and fleet monitoring software provider for electric vehicles. Ford Pro estimates that the depot charging industry will grow to over 600,000 full-size trucks and vans by 2030.

Feb 2021: For sustainable electric mobility, Ford plans to invest USD 1 billion at its vehicle assembly facility in Cologne, Germany. Ford announces European transformation with a commitment to go all-in on electric passenger vehicles.

Feb 2021: To expand presence in South African automotive market, Ford Motor Company announced an investment of US$1.05 billion. The expansion will create 1,200 incremental Ford jobs in South Africa. The investment will expand the company’s South African manufacturing operations.

Sep 2020: The leading Electric Vehicle manufacturer Ford started the production of the all-new F-150 at the storied Ford Rouge Center and announced the construction of the new Rouge Electric Vehicle Center where it will build the all-electric F-150 by mid-2022.

July 2020: Ford Motor announced its partnership with Mobileye, an Intel company, on cutting-edge driver-assistance systems across Ford’s global product lineup.

April 2020: Ford Motor Company announced its collaboration with GE Healthcare, to produce ventilators at its Michigan facility. The company plans to produce 50,000 ventilators within 100 days and up to 30,000 a month thereafter as needed by clinicians to treat COVID-19 patients.

December 2019: Ford Motor, invested approximately $1.4 billion in two southeast Michigan manufacturing facilities and adding more than 3,000 new jobs. The new investment will strengthen the company’s leadership position in trucks and SUVs manufacturing and support its expansion into electric and autonomous vehicles.

October 2019: India’s Mahindra & Mahindra Limited has signed a definitive agreement with Ford Motor Company to create a joint venture to develop, market, and distribute Ford brand vehicles in India and other emerging markets around the world.

September 2019: Ford Motor Company opened its new customer contact center in Houston, the USA. The company added approximately 500 new jobs to the Houston contact center.

July 2019: Ford and Volkswagen of Germany announced to expand their global alliance to include electric vehicles, and also they will collaborate with Argo AI to introduce autonomous vehicle technology in the U.S. and Europe.

June 2019: Ford invested nearly $1 billion for the transformation of the Chicago manufacturing facility and added 500 new jobs for efficient production.
