For the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, FrieslandCampina signed an agreement with ING Bank N.V. for a USD 356 million sustainability-linked loan. As per agreement the new loan has a maximum maturity of three years.

March 2021: In order to expand business in Africa and the Middle East, FrieslandCampina International Holding B.V. establishes a joint venture with the Arabian Food industries Company (Domty). FrieslandCampina will hold a 51% interest in the joint venture and Domty, 49%. The JV will focus on the export of cheese to Africa and the Middle East.
Sep 2020: FrieslandCampina Ingredients announced to increase its lactoferrin production capacity in Veghel, Netherlands. The expansion will helps in strategic growth in its Early Life Nutrition and Adult Nutrition segments.
Bringing its total capacity to 70 mt per annum, the expansion will make FrieslandCampina Ingredients the largest lactoferrin producer in the world.
April 2020: FrieslandCampina announced a new distribution centre of approximately 26,000 m2 in Veghel. The distribution of the Ingredients business group will partly be accommodated in this building and distributed in and outside of Europe, in particular the activities of DFE Pharma
October 2019: The American dairy cooperative United Dairymen of Arizona (UDA) announced its partnership with FrieslandCampina to bring lactoferrin to the market. This partnership had a capacity to produce 10 tons of lactoferrin per year and both companies see this as an opportunity for further collaboration.
