Luxembourg based Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners (FEIP) develops 88 MW onshore wind farm in Finland. As per contract GE will supply 16 of its 5.5 MW-158 Cypress turbines, its largest onshore wind turbine in the field.
- The onshore wind farm is located in the municipality of Pyhäjoki, in the Northern Ostrobothnia region of western Finland.
- The 88 MW wind farm will generate enough renewable energy to power the equivalent of 55,000 households in Finland
- The Project was co-developed by Smart Windpower Oy, Mincovest Oy and GE Renewable Energy and acquired by Foresight Energy Infrastructure Partners.

May 2021: For the development of sustainable energy in Japan, GE Renewable Energy and Toshiba Energy Systems and Solutions Corporation have signed a strategic partnership agreement. The companies will localize critical phases of the manufacturing process of GEs Haliade-X offshore wind turbine and to support its commercialization in Japan.
Feb 2021: For the development of the sustainable green energy in Vietnam, GE Renewable Energy has been awarded a wind farm contract by Ocean Renewable Energy Joint Stock Company. As per contract GE will supply a total of 15 of GEs 4 MW-137 wind turbines to support construction of the Cau Dat Wind Farm, the first wind farm in Lâm ??ng Province, Vietnam.
Dec 2020: The global renewable energy company GE Renewable Energy has been selected by Azora of Spain to supply 19 Cypress onshore wind turbines for the 100 MW Cuevas de Velasco wind farm located in the Cuenca province of the country.
May 2020: The leading Renewable energy firm GE Renewable Energy announced that it has been selected by POWERICA Ltd to supply 38 of its 2.7-132 onshore wind turbines to be installed at the Rajkot and Khambaliya wind farms in Gujarat, India. GE Renewable Energy and POWERICA will jointly provide energy to Gujarat.
February 2020: GE Renewable Energy had received an order from the EDF-SITAC joint venture to supply and install 112 of its 2.7 MW wind turbines with 132m rotor at the Sitac Kabini wind farm in Gujarat, India. The companys 2.7-132 turbine has been designed primarily at GE’s Technology Centre in Bangalore, India.
February 2020: GE Renewable Energys Grid Solutions business had been awarded $2.5 million to fund the development of a sulfur hexafluoride (SF6)-free, 420 kiloVolt (kV) 63 kilo Amps (kA) gas-insulated substation (GIS) circuit-breaker by the European Commissions LIFE climate action program.
January 2020: GE Renewable Energy announced that it had been nominated by OX2 as the supplier for the 132 MW Metsälamminkangas wind farm, in Finland. The project, which will use 24 of GEs Cypress onshore wind platform, represents GEs first Cypress-equipped wind farm in Finland.
July 2019: GE Renewable Energy had announced to open a new offshore wind factory at Jieyangs Offshore Wind cluster in the Chinese province of Guangdong. The company will also establish a new Operation and Development Center in the city of Guangzhou.
