The telecommunications service provider, Globe Telecom, has signed an agreement to acquire all of the assets of US-based Cloud Consulting Companies, Cascadeo Corporation and Cascadeo Partners for approximately $4 million.

The incorporation of cloud business will help Globe Telecom to boost its ICT capabilities in the Philippine market. The deal will propel tools and IT solutions towards the digital future. Cascadeo’s specialized cloud-based products and services bring forth synergies, which will be passed on to the Philippine and US enterprise clients through an upgraded cloud-based product and service offering.

The prominent deals by Globe Telecom are mentioned below:

  • February 2020: Globe Telecom partnership with Iloilo City in Panay Island, Philippines, for deploying more affordable WiFi services. Key areas in the city to powered with KapitWiFi and GoWiFi access.
  • November 2019: Globe Telecom, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with ANZ Bank to facilitate payments to Huawei and other vendors.
  • September 2019: Globe announced that it had signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Transcend Towers Infrastructure (Philippines) Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of American Tower Corporation, to build more towers in the Philippines.
