To expand cloud database for customers, Google Cloud, announced an expanded five-year partnership with New York based MongoDB, Inc. The partnership will extend their existing go-to-market relationship and provide a deeper integration of Google Cloud products with MongoDB’s global cloud database, MongoDB Atlas.

  • MongoDB Atlas gives joint customers integrated billing and support. Customers get a single bill for all Google Cloud services as well as MongoDB Atlas, and can use their Google Cloud spending commitments toward Atlas.
  • MongoDB is the leading modern, general purpose database platform, designed to unleash the power of software and data for developers and the applications they build.
  • With new partnership, MongoDB is enabling developers to integrate Atlas with Google Cloud products, including Pub/Sub, BigQuery, Dataproc, Dataflow, Cloud Run, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), and Tensorflow.

The major collaborations and deals by Google are featured below:

Feb 2021: To expand business in India Google Cloud signed partnership agreement with Tata Communications, a global digital ecosystem enabler. Tata Communications with the help of Google Cloud will support organisations with services across infrastructure modernisation, data centre transformation, application modernisation, smart analytics, multi-cloud deployments and more.

Dec 2020: The global cloud solution provider Google announced to acquire Massachusetts based information technology firm Actifio. The Actifio’s business continuity solutions will help Google Cloud customers prevent data loss and downtime due to external threats, network failures, human errors and other disruptions.

Oct 2020: The global telecommunication company Nokia announced a five-year strategic collaboration with Google Cloud to transform its digital infrastructure. As per agreement Nokia will migrate its on-premise IT infrastructure onto Google Cloud.

Aug 2020: The global cloud solution provider Google Cloud announced that it entered into a multi-year, strategic partnership with Amwell to deliver transformative telehealth solutions across the global healthcare ecosystem.

August 2020: The global interconnection company Equinix, Inc. has announced that it becomes a Google Cloud Premier Partner. The partnership will help to accelerate digital transformation across the globe.

July 2020: Google LLC announced a binding agreement with Jio Platforms Limited a subsidiary of Reliance Industries, for an investment of approximately $5 billion. Google’s investment will translate into a 7.73% equity stake in Jio Platforms on a fully diluted basis.

July 2020: Alphabet Inc-owned Google announced that it will invest approximately $10 billion in India over the next five to seven years through Google for India Digitization Fund. The fund will helps to accelerate India’s digital economy.

April 2020: Google announced that it is collaborating with AudioCodes, a leading vendor of advanced voice networking and media processing solutions for the digital workplace to integrate telephony voice services with virtual agents developed with the Google Dialogflow bot framework.

February 2020: Google LLC announced to invest approximately $10 billion in offices and data centers across the United States in 2020. The company’s expansion plan will be focused on New York, Colorado, Georgia, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Washington and California.

January 2020: Google Cloud and Accenture announced that Google Cloud would be the cloud technology provider for Accenture’s INTIENT life sciences industry platform. The new agreement brings Google’s cloud and artificial intelligence capabilities together with Accenture’s life sciences services and platforms.

January 2020: Google Cloud had announced that Lufthansa Group, a leading airline has selected Google Cloud as a strategic partner to optimize its operations performance. Lufthansa Group will combine previously disparate systems and data feeds into one unified platform by leveraging Google Cloud’s infrastructure and leading machine-learning capabilities.
