May 2021: To reinforces global footprint in China, Henkel announced to construction of a new USD 72 million Adhesive Technologies Innovation Center in Shanghai. The new the state-of-the-art Innovation Center has a gross space of 32,000 square meters.

Nov 2020: To expand Industry 4.0 concept, Henkel opened a state-of-the-art, fully automated Laundry & Home Care warehouse at its production facility in Montornès del Vallès, Spain. The plant produces more than 200,000 tons of powder detergents, liquid detergents and adhesives annually.
Nov 2020: The leading beauty care products producer Henkel announced the completion of acquisition of the skin model technology from the SkinInVitro GmbH, located in Troisdorf, Germany. The newly acquired epiCS skin models will be manufactured in the Henkel laboratories in Düsseldorf, Germany, under the Phenion brand.
Sep 2020: The leading beauty care product manufacturer Henkel, announced the expansion of its hand soap and sanitizer production at U.S. Facilities with investments of approximately $23 million. The expansion will be creating 180 new jobs at the plant.

February 2020: Henkel announced the opening of its new manufacturing facility in Kurkumbh, near Pune, in Maharashtra, India. The Kurkumbh manufacturing facility of the company will be operated by Henkel Adhesives Technologies business unit. The new facility aims to serve the rising demand of Indian industries for solutions in adhesives, sealants, and surface treatment products.
January 2020: Henkel announced the merger of Sonderhoff into Henkel Adhesive Technologies business unit. The Sonderhoff sites in Austria, Germany, Italy, and the USA are now operating under Henkel name; the only site in China will continue to operate under Sonderhoff name.
