For new digital foundation, Hitachi ABB Power Grids announced a multi-year contract with HCL Technologies. Through this contract, HCL Hitachi will help ABB Power Grids to set up a new, efficient and modern, independent IT organization.

Sep 2020: HCL Technologies, (HCL), announced its intention to acquire a leading Australian IT, business and management consulting provider DWS Limited. The DWS, has offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Canberra, delivers business and technology innovation to large clients across a spectrum of verticals.

June 2020: HCL Technologies, (HCL) announced that it intent to acquire Cisco’s Self-Optimizing Network (SON) technology. This acquisition, which comprises of products and services built on Cisco’s SON technology, would help HCL meet the growing needs of its customers in the telecommunications industry.

February 2020: HCL Technologies (HCL), announced the establishment of its global delivery center in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The company had signed an agreement with the Board of Investment (BOI) of Sri Lanka to strengthening its presence in the Asian Region.

December 2019: HCL Technologies announced the opening of two new technology delivery centers in Vilnius, Lithuania. The new state-of-the-art Asgaard Keys and Technopolis Alfa sites provide technology and digital transformation services to HCL clients in the Benelux, Baltic, and Nordic regions.

October 2019: HCL Technologies announced that it had extended its IT operations and transformation agreement with Norway based Equinor, the largest supplier of oil and gas in the Nordic energy market, and a leading offshore operator in the World.

September 2019: HCL Technologies Limited announced the acquisition of an advanced technology design services provider Sankalp Semiconductor, which offers comprehensive digital & mixed-signal SoC services and solutions from concept to prototype, in the semiconductor space. Sankalp Semiconductor has many years of experience in the semiconductor design and strong capabilities in analog, digital, and mixed-signal chip design. The company provides end-to-end solutions in the Medical Electronics, Automotive, Consumer, IoT, Networking, and Wireless domains.

August 2019: HCL Technologies announced expansion in New Zealand, with the opening of a new delivery centre in Hamilton. The new center expands the company’s commitment to delivering innovation for both enterprises and public-sector organisations in the region.
