The global intelligent technology provider Hitachi ABB Power Grids announced to invest $100 million to strengthen the High Voltage Products business across the globe. The expansion includes high-voltage switchgear manufacturing, engineering and service footprint to enhance competitiveness in a dynamic market environment.

Sep 2020: Hitachi ABB Power Grids has introduced its new wireless communication solution with the launch of the next generation Tropos TRO600 portfolio for industrial communications.

Aug 2020: Hitachi ABB Power Grids Ltd. announced its partnership with Zenob? Energy Limited., a leading owner and operator of battery energy storage systems to develop first of its kind traction power solution for UK railways.

August 2020: The leading rail transport engineering companies Hitachi Rail SpA and Bombardier Transportation has signed a $943 million contract with Italy’s primary train operator Trenitalia to supply 23 Frecciarossa 1000 very high-speed (VHS) trains.

August 2020, The leading HVDC (high-voltage direct-current) solution provider Hitachi ABB Power Grids has won a major order from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) Transmission, part of the UK energy giant SSE plc.

July 2020: In order to transform railway system the Government of India has selected Hitachi ABB Power Grids India for $18 million Indian Railways electrification project. As per order Hitachi ABB Power Grids India will be delivering its transformers to India’s electric locomotive manufacturer, Chittaranjan Locomotive Works (CLW), for the production of 400 passenger and freight locomotive engines.

May 2020: The smart technology provider Hitachi, Ltd. announced that its subsidiary Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte. Ltd has been awarded the 28th term contract for the supply and installation of 300 lifts by the Housing & Development Board (HDB) of Singapore.

April 2020: Hitachi, Ltd. announced that its subsidiary Taiwan Hitachi Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. has agreed to establish a joint venture company for the manufacturing and sales of cells used in regenerative medicine, in partnership with MetaTech (AP) Inc., which provides technologies and activities in the regenerative medicine field in Taiwan.

April 2020: Hitachi, Ltd. announced the expansion of Lumada Business with the acquisition of digital business under the Fusionex brand from Fusionex International Plc a Big Data and AI technology market leader in the Asian region, providing AI and data analytics services.

January 2020: Hitachi’s wholly owned subsidiary Hitachi Vantara, announced its intent to acquire the business of privately held Waterline Data, Inc. Headquartered in Mountain View, Calif., Waterline Data provides intelligent data cataloging solutions for DataOps that help customers more easily gain actionable insights from large datasets and comply with data regulations such as GDPR.
