The innovative technology provider Hitachi, Ltd. and U.S based Microsoft Corp. announced a strategic alliance to accelerate the digital transformation of the manufacturing and logistics industries across Southeast Asia, North America and Japan.
- The first solutions will be available in Thailand in July, 2020.
- The two companies will work together to meet the growing demand for predictive maintenance and process automation in remote areas and support enterprises as they tackle the challenges infused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Hitachi will integrate its industry leading solutions, such as Lumada(1), and its IoT-ready industrial controllers HX Series(2), with the Microsoft cloud platform, leveraging Azure(3), Dynamics 365, and Microsoft 365 to help businesses increase their workforce productivity and operational efficiency.

May 2020: Hitachi, Ltd. announced that its subsidiary Hitachi Elevator Asia Pte. Ltd has been awarded the 28th term contract for the supply and installation of 300 lifts by the Housing & Development Board (“”HDB””) of Singapore.
