Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) announced a strategic partnership with automobile leader Honda for new energy vehicle batteries. The comprehensive alliance helps to strengthen their partnership and promote the popularization of e-mobility.

In June 2020: Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned Honda subsidiary in China, announced the establishment of Hynex Mobility Service Co., Ltd. (Hynex Mobility Service), a new joint venture company with Neusoft Reach Automotive Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. (Neusoft Reach).
In April 2020, General Motors and Honda agreed to jointly develop two all-new electric vehicles for Honda, based on GMs highly flexible global EV platform powered by proprietary Ultium batteries. The exteriors and interiors of the new EVs will be exclusively designed by Honda, and the platform will be engineered to support Hondas driving character.
In February 2020, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. established a new company, Honda Mobility Solutions Co., Ltd. (HMS), which will be responsible for planning and operating mobility service (MaaS) business in Japan.
