In order to strengthen communications system, Honeywell has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Miami-based company Fiplex Communications. The acquisition of Fiplex will expand the Honeywells in-building connectivity and communications solutions to its customers.
- Fiplex develops in-building communications systems, including bi-directional amplifiers (BDAs) that provide continuous and critical in-building radio coverage in challenging environments to improve the safety of first responders and building occupants.
- Fiplex’s solutions will become a platform of innovation for Honeywell wireless technologies.

Dec 2020: To expand software capabilities Honeywell agreed to acquire privately held Sparta Systems for approximately $1.3 billion from New Mountain Capital. After completion of deal Honeywell will leverage its global presence, Honeywell Forge and Sparta’s expertise to introduce new, integrated solutions, including QMS offerings, for life sciences and adjacent industries.
Nov 2020: The Worlds connected building leader Honeywell announced a strategic investment in India-based Trinity Mobility Private Limited, a leading software company and provider of the leading internet of things (IoT) Smart Cities platform.
Oct 2020: Honeywell announced the acquisition of Nevada-based technology leader Rocky Research. The privately held Rocky Research specialized in thermal, energy and power management solutions.
May 2020: Honeywell, a global technology leader, announced the establishment of a new manufacturing line capable of producing up to 4.5 million FFP2 disposable masks per month and FFP3 at its Scottish production site in the United Kingdom. The new manufacturing line is expected to create more than 450 jobs at the Honeywell site in Newhouse.
April 2020: Honeywell announced the temporarily shifting manufacturing operations at two chemical manufacturing facilities to produce and donate hand sanitizer to government agencies in response to shortages created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
December 2019: Honeywell, had acquired Houston based Rebellion Photonics, which provides intelligent, innovative, visual gas monitoring solutions that maximize safety, operational performance, emissions mitigation and compliance in the petrochemical, oil and gas, and power industries.
