Hormel Foods Corporation, leading food processing company announced the closing of its acquisition of Sadler’s Smokehouse, a Texas-based manufacturer of premium and authentic pit-smoked meats for retail and foodservice customers.

Even after acquisition Sadler’s Smokehouse will continue operations from the Henderson, Texas, facility and will report into the Refrigerated Foods segment of Hormel Foods. Hormel Foods plans to make investments into the business and production facility to increase production and quality of products for consumers.

The major expansions and deals by Hormel Foods are mentioned below:

December 2019: Hormel Foods Corporation has announced the completion of the solar energy project at the Hormel Foods Swiss American Sausage Company facility in Lathrop, California with IGS Solar.  The manufacturing facility produces a variety of pepperoni and salami for foodservice pizza toppings.

July 2019: The HormelNatural Choice deli meats announced the addition of two new all-natural deli meat and cheese snacks to its growing snacking line up. The two new flavors are inspired by bold global flavors and offer consumers a delicious and convenient way to snack naturally.

April 2019: Hormel Foods Corporation announced that it has completed the sale of its CytoSport business to PepsiCo, Inc for approximately $465 million. The deal includes the Muscle Milk and Evolve brands.
