Mumbai based consumer goods company Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) has signed an agreement with Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd to acquire its intimate hygiene brand VWash. The transaction includes the acquisition of intellectual property rights with trademarks, design and know-how related to the VWash brand. Glenmark will continue to manage the business until the transaction is completed with HUL.
In 2013, Glenmark launched VWash and the brand has established itself as the market leader in the female intimate hygiene category backed by a strong product proposition, and good consumer endorsements.

December 2019: Unilever has announced the opening of a new global Foods Innovation Centre on Wageningen campus after investment of approximately $91 million. From Hive, Unilever will lead its global Foods innovation programs for brands like Knorr, Hellmann’s, The Vegetarian Butcher and Calvė. Areas of research will include: plant-based ingredients and meat alternatives, efficient crops, sustainable food packaging and nutritious foods.

June 2019: Unilever announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire leading prestige skincare brand, Tatcha. Founded in 2009, by Victoria Tsai in San Francisco with an innovation centre in Japan known as the Tatcha Institute, Tatcha is a modern skincare brand rooted in classical Kyoto rituals.
