Dubai Silicon Oasis Authority (DSOA), a regulatory body of Dubai Silicon Oasis (DSO), announce partnership with Johnson Controls to power the Rochester Institute of Technology – Dubai. RIT Dubai has around 1,000 students and 100 staff members.

  • The deal helps to deliver the region’s first-of-its-kind smart, healthy, and sustainable new campus.
  • Johnson Controls is committed to supporting DSOA’s sustainability and carbon emissions reduction efforts through its OpenBlue digital platform. The company will deploy its OpenBlue Enterprise Manager (OBEM) solution for RIT Dubai’s iconic campus, using sophisticated artificial intelligence.
  • Johnson Controls OpenBlue digital platform and services for optimizing buildings can drive 50% and more in improvement in energy efficiency and corresponding carbon emissions.

May 2021: In order to broadens sustainable and reliable data center solutions portfolio, Johnson Controls International plc, has completed the acquisition of Silent-Aire. Edmonton, Alberta based Silent-Aire specializes in the design, engineering and manufacturing of mission critical custom air handlers and modular data centers.

April 2021: To enhance position in critical infrastructure, Johnson Controls announced to acquire Silent-Aire for approximately USD 870 million. Silent-Aire, is a global leader in hyperscale data center cooling and modular critical infrastructure solutions.

Dec 2020: Johnson Controls, announced a global collaboration with Microsoft Corp. The agreement helps digitally transform how buildings and spaces are conceived, built and managed.

Aug 2020: The buildings security equipment manufacturer Johnson Controls announced that it had acquired the remaining stake of Silicon Valley based Qolsys Inc., a leading residential and commercial security and smart-home manufacturer. The acquisition of Qolsys boost the Johnson Controls global intrusion business

July 2020: Johnson Controls, announced that it closed an agreement to purchase EuroPAC Alarmcentrale and EuroPAC Telefooncentrale businesses. Based in The Netherlands, EuroPAC has operations in Benelux.

July 2020: Johnson Controls announced its partnership with EAGL Technology and Anixter to help customers better protect their facility occupants and streamline emergency response, leading to improved outcomes during intruder incidents. Working with Johnson Controls and EAGL Technology, customers have access to a greater range of technologies and more custom solutions, regardless of building size or goals.

November 2019: Johnson Controls announced that it closed an agreement to purchase the EasyIO Building and Energy Management System (BEMS) product line. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, EasyIO has operations in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
