The global smart and sustainable building technology provider Johnson Controls, announced a global collaboration with Microsoft Corp. The agreement helps digitally transform how buildings and spaces are conceived, built and managed.

  • As a key partner for Azure Digital Twins, Johnson Controls` OpenBlue Digital Twin is a comprehensive platform that will support the entire ecosystem of building and device management technologies with digital cloud technologies.
  • Microsoft’s Azure Digital Twins is the newest Azure platform service integrated into Johnson Controls OpenBlue platform that aims to enable the creation of next-generation IoT connected solutions that will model the real world.

In Aug 2020: The buildings security equipment manufacturer Johnson Controls announced that it has acquired the remaining stake of Silicon Valley based Qolsys Inc., a leading residential and commercial security and smart-home manufacturer.

In July 2020, Johnson Controls, announced that it closed an agreement to purchase EuroPAC Alarmcentrale and EuroPAC Telefooncentrale businesses. Based in The Netherlands, EuroPAC has operations in Benelux.

In July 2020, Johnson Controls announced its partnership with EAGL Technology and Anixter to help customers better protect their facility occupants and streamline emergency response, leading to improved outcomes during intruder incidents. Working with Johnson Controls and EAGL Technology, customers have access to a greater range of technologies and more custom solutions, regardless of building size or goals.

In November 2019, Johnson Controls announced that it closed an agreement to purchase the EasyIO Building and Energy Management System (BEMS) product line. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, EasyIO has operations in Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
