The worlds leading ingredient manufacturer Kemin Industries, has announced its support to local hospitals and other health care facilities in Italy and provided additional recognition to its essential employees who’ve continued working during the country’s lockdown period.
Italy was one of the first countries in Europe to be affected by coronavirus (COVID-19). Certain industries such as Kemin, were permitted to continue operating, as they are considered essential. Kemin is part of the national Ateco operative list of “Critical Industries” because its products are needed to protect the world’s food supply and ensure the health and safety of people, pets and production animals. The company provides special recognition to employees in Italy and San Marino have continued their critical work during the lockdown.
April 2020: Kemin Industries, has signed an exclusive agreement with a biologics company Pacific GeneTech (PGT), that develops and commercializes next-generation vaccines for areas of high unmet or underserved needs in food safety and animal health, to license PGT’s Salmonella vaccine for poultry.
November 2019: Kemin Industries, has opened a new Innovation and Technology Center at its regional headquarters in Zhuhai, China. The new facility will improve Kemin’s capability to develop leading technologies and services to better meet customers’ needs.
September 2019: Kemin Nutrisurance, the global pet food and rendering technologies business unit of Kemin Industries, had opened its newly expanded 5,000-square-meter production facility in Vargeão, Brazil.
