To boost innovation in shampoo, LOréal announced a minority investment in Switzerland based environmental tech startup Gjosa. The investment made through LOréals corporate venture capital fund BOLD Business Opportunities for LOréal Development.
- Based in Bienne, Switzerland, Gjosa develops unique water-saving solutions.
- LOréal and Gjosa have been working together since 2015 to optimize shampoo rinse technologies with the objective to save water.
- This strengthening of our partnership will enable us to create innovations that will have the best water-tech solutions for people in salons and at-home.
- In 2018, LOréal and Gjosa have announced the development of a shower head able to rinse shampoo with 1.5 litre of water (instead of 8 usually used).
Feb2021: LOréal had finalised the acquisition of Takami Co.. As per agreement Takamis employees will join LOréal Luxe. The deal will help to grow the brand further.
June 2020: LOréal and the French investment holding Impala had finalised the sale of the Roger & Gallet brand.
June 2020: LOréal announced an agreement to acquire Thayers Natural Remedies, a US-based natural skincare brand from Henry Thayer Company.
The brand will be integrated into LOréals Consumer Products Division.
