Linde begins delivery of oxygen and other industrial gases to Shanghai Huayi’s new chemical complex, through its new on-site facility in Qinzhou, China. The company invested approximately $200 million for this new facility.
- The new facility is comprised of three air separation units which will supply up to 7,500 tons per day of oxygen and 5,000 tons per day of nitrogen.
- Linde will operate more efficiently, lowering its energy consumption and carbon emissions.

Feb 2021: To expand in China, Linde has started two new air separation units (ASUs) to supply gaseous oxygen and nitrogen to Wanhua Chemical Group.
The new plants join two existing ASUs, also built and operated by Linde, to support phase I and II of Wanhua Chemical’s integrated chemical site and production center in Yantai, China.Oct 2020: The global industrial gas leader Linde had signed a long-term agreement with Samsung Electronics to supply ultra-high purity industrial gases for its latest semiconductor facilities in Pyeongtaek, South Korea.
Aug 2020: The leading industrial gas firm Linde had started a new air separation unit (ASU) to supply ultra-high purity industrial gases to a major electronics customer in Taiwan. The new facility is first of three nitrogen generators, and as a part of 15-year contract.
July 2020: Linde announced that it would start construction of the world’s first hydrogen refuelling station for passenger trains in Bremervörde, Germany. The company has the largest liquid hydrogen capacity and distribution system in the world.
July 2020: Linde signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Beijing Green Hydrogen Technology Development Co., Ltd., to jointly promote the application and development of green hydrogen in China.
May 2020, Linde announced that it had started up a state-of-the-art syngas processing plant in Geismar, Louisiana. The new plant will supply carbon monoxide and hydrogen to a top global chemical company as well as other refining and chemical customers along Linde’s hydrogen pipeline network in Southern Louisiana, all under long-term supply agreements.
April 2020, Linde announced that it had leveraged its extensive technology portfolio to sign a new contract with Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL), the largest refiner in India.
February 2020, Linde had started up a new air separation unit (ASU) in Freeport, Texas, as part of a long-term agreement to supply MEGlobal’s new ethylene glycol (EG) plant in Oyster Creek, Texas.
January 2020, Linde announced that it had started up a new air separation plant to supply nitrogen, high purity oxygen and argon to the 12-inch wafer product line of Shanghai Huali Microelectronics Corporation (HLMC) in Shanghai. In addition, Linde will supply hydrogen and helium to HLMC.
