To expand technological space Lockheed Martin Corporation announced to acquire Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings, Inc for approximately $4.6 billion. The deal adds substantial expertise in propulsion to Lockheed Martin’s portfolio, and expands on the solid foundation built by Lockheed Martin and Aerojet Rocketdyne over many years.

Aerojet Rocketdyne’s propulsion systems are already a key component of Lockheed Martin’s supply chain and several advanced systems across its Aeronautics, Missiles and Fire Control and Space business areas.

In Nov 2020: The global security and technology company Lockheed Martin has closed the acquisition of Hypersonics portfolio of Huntsville, Alabama based Integration Innovation Inc. (i3). The deal will expands Lockheed Martin’s capabilities to design, develop and product integrated hypersonic weapon systems for its customers.

In Nov 2020, Lockheed Martin announced to build new Training Center for Binational French, German C-130J Squadron. French and German C-130J Super Hercules aircrews and maintainers will train in a facility located in France, built and equipped by Lockheed Martin for the countriesÂ’ binational C-130J Super Hercules Squadron. Lockheed Martin will provide training devices, the learning management system, courseware and options for five years of training services under the terms of a new direct commercial sale (DCS) contract, allowing for in-country learning.

In February 2020, The Javelin Joint Venture, a partnership of Raytheon Company and Lockheed Martin, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Bharat Dynamics Limited (BDL) to explore co-production of the Javelin anti-tank missile system to fulfill potential future requirements of the Indian Ministry of Defence.

In January 2020, The F-35 Joint Program Office awarded the Lockheed Martin industry team a $1.9 billion contract to support operations and sustainment of the global F-35 fleet, while improving mission readiness and further reducing costs. The deal also covers fleet-wide data analytics and supply chain management for part repair and replenishment to enhance overall supply availability for the fleet.
