The leading carbon fiber company Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation has decided to acquire two Germany based carbon fiber recycling companies, CFK Valley Stade Recycling GmbH & Co. KG (CFK) and carboNXT GmbH (carboNXT).
- The transaction will carry out through its Switzerland based subsidiary Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials AG.
- The acquisition of carbon fiber recycling companies will boost the MCCs European presence.
In April 2020: Mitsubishi Chemical Holdings subsidiary Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation (MCC) announced that it agreed to acquire Pennsylvania based Gelest Intermediate Holdings, Inc from New Mountain Capital, LLC through American subsidiary Mitsubishi Chemical America, Inc.
In February 2020, Mitsubishi Chemical announced to acquire two Swiss engineering plastics recyclers, Minger Kunststofftechnik AG and Minger Plastic AG (collectively, the Minger Group), through its group company Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Materials.
January 2020: Mitsubishi Chemical Corporation announced that it will acquire a German Carbon Fiber Prepreg Manufacturer, c-m-p GmbH through its subsidiary, Mitsubishi Chemical Advanced Material in a move to strengthen its presence in the carbon fiber composite material business.
