The global food safety company NEOGEN Corporation has acquired the assets of Chile-based Magiar Chilena (Magiar). After completion of deal NEOGEN will incorporate the Magiar assets into its wholly-owned subsidiary, NEOGEN Chile SpA. Chile based Magiar was established in 1998 and is a leading distributor of food, animal, and plant diagnostics, including NEOGEN products.
After this acquisition NEOGEN’s Chile operations will be managed directly under Latin American operations and will offer direct sales of NEOGEN food safety, animal safety, and genomic solutions into the country.

February 2020: NEOGEN Corporation has acquired United Kingdom-based Abtek Biologicals Limited — a developer and supplier of culture media supplements and microbiology technologies that increases NEOGEN’s current solutions portfolio.
January 2020: Neogen Corporation has acquired Italy-based Diessechem S.R.L., a distributor of food and feed safety diagnostics. After this acquisition, Diessechem’s operations will continue operating out of Milan, and Neogen’s European network will manage it.
January 2020: Neogen has acquired Productos Quimicos Magiar (Magiar), a distributor of Neogen’s food safety diagnostics for the past 20 years with businesses in Argentina and Uruguay.
