The global pet food company Nestlé Purina PetCare plans to invest approximately $450 million to open a new factory in Eden, North Carolina.
- The new Eden facility will join Purina’s network of 21 existing manufacturing locations across the U.S. and will become operational in 2022

- Located along the Virginia border, the new factory in Eden, North Carolina will revitalize a former brewery, transforming it into an innovative, technically advanced pet food manufacturing facility.
In Aug 2020: Nestlé Purina, announced to expand its operations in Cumberland County in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, the USA. The expansion will create job opportunity for approximately 94 people in the area.
In April 2020, Nestlé Purina PetCare is a subsidiary of global food processing company Nestlé, had acquired natural pet food brand Lilys Kitchen. The UK based Lilys Kitchen is a leading producer of premium wet and dry natural foods for dogs and cats. Even after deal Lily’s Kitchen will continue to be run as a stand-alone business from its base in London, UK.
In February 2020, Nestlé Purina announced the expansion of its Clinton, Iowa, factory. The expansion represents a $140 million investment that will allow Purina to meet a growing demand from pet owners for nutritious, science-based dog and cat foods using high-quality and trusted ingredients.
In November 2019, Nestlé Purina PetCare Company commemorated the opening of its 21st factory in the United States in Hartwell, Georgia, to unlock growth potential for the production of popular and trusted Purina brands while making a significant impact on the local economy.
