The Information technology company OpenText has acquired XMedius, a provider of secure information exchange and unified communication solutions for approximately $75 million. The acquisition of XMedius further strengthens OpenText’s leadership positions in secure information exchange, unified communications and digital fax.
The deal brings XMedius decades of experience and patented technologies to transform secure and collaborative communication, helping organizations to move more workloads to the cloud and unlock the information advantage. The company also provides innovative technologies to optimize the omnichannel customer experience and the connected business.
In November 2019, OpenText announced to acquire Carbonite, Inc. for approximately $1.42 billion. Carbonite provides cloud-based subscription data protection, backup, disaster recovery system. The Carbonite acquisition will extend OpenText’s leadership in the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) market.
In July 2019, OpenText announced a new partnership with Google Cloud. Through partnership services and product integrations to help customers move critical EIM workloads to Google Cloud. As part of this expanded relationship, Google Cloud has selected OpenText as its preferred partner for Enterprise Information Management Services, while OpenText has named Google Cloud its preferred partner for enterprise cloud.
