To build a sustainable food system, PepsiCo Inc., in joint venture with Beyond Meat Inc. will form The PLANeT Partnership, LLC (TPP), to develop, produce and market innovative snack and beverage products made from plant-based protein.
- The joint venture will leverage Beyond Meat’s leading technology in plant-based protein development and PepsiCo’s world-class marketing and commercial capabilities to create and scale new snack and beverage options.

July 2020: The leading digital innovation provider Microsoft Corp signed a five-year partnership agreement with PepsiCo Inc. As per deal Microsoft is a cloud provider to accelerate PepsiCos infrastructure, ERP, and data estate consolidation and modernization across the globe.
June 2020: The worlds carbonated beverage leader PepsiCo, Inc. announced the expansion of the SodaStream brand with the introduction of SodaStream Professional, an eco-friendly hydration platform. SodaStream Professional builds on what people love about SodaStream the world’s leading at-home sparkling water maker.
April 2020: The Bang Energy drink manufacturer Vital Pharmaceuticals had announced an exclusive alliance with PepsiCo to distribute the portfolio of Bang Energy beverages in the United States. This alliance is effective immediately and is set to significantly increase distribution of the Bang beverage in the region.
March 2020: PepsiCo, had agreed to acquire Rockstar Energy Beverages, the popular energy drink maker for approximately $3.8 billion. The acquisition of Rockstar will accelerate PepsiCo’s capabilities to expand the category with existing brands like- Mountain Dew.
February 2020: PepsiCo, had announced an agreement to acquire Hangzhou Haomusi Food Co., Ltd. (Be & Cheery), one of the largest online snacks companies in China from Haoxiangni Health Food Co., Ltd. for $705 million. The deal helps PepsiCo to become a China’s leading consumer-centric food and beverage company.
December 2019: PepsiCo announced the acquisition of BFY Brands, the maker of PopCorners snacks. After completion of the deal, BFY Brands will report into PepsiCo’s Frito-Lay North America division. The addition of BFY Brands will expand Frito-Lay’s snacking portfolio, and the company will offer consumers more positive nutritious options.
July 2019: PepsiCo, Inc. announced that the company had an agreement to acquire Pioneer Foods Group for approximately $1.7 billion. Pioneer Foods robust product portfolio complements PepsiCo’s current lineup, with strong positions in cereals, juices, and other African nutritional food staples, includes, scaled brands like Weet-Bix, Liqui-Fruit, Ceres, Sasko, Safari, Spekko, and White Star.
