To expand manufacturing capacity, Rolls-Royce announced a $17.4 million investment at its mtu Aiken facility in Graniteville, the USA. The expansion includes a new Remanufacturing and Overhaul Regional Center.

•The planned 109,000-sq-ft expansion project will provide dedicated and streamlined remanufacturing and overhaul operations to support growth based on customer demand.

• The expansion includes the addition of more than 20 new jobs.

February 2020: The leading industrial technology firm Rolls-Royce has announced investments in Canada to strengthen its CSC program. The company has started construction of new Rolls-Royce Peterborough facility for Canadian surface combatant (CSC) program. The company has already expanded its supply chain in Canada to meet the domestic and international demand.

The new Peterborough facility will design and manufacture the world-leading Rolls-Royce Mission Bay Handling System (MBHS). Rolls-Royce is a diversified, high technology partner with more than 70 years of service in Canada. The MBHS is an innovative, and flexible feature of the Global Combat Ship design, selected for the Canadian Surface Combatant (CSC), Australian Hunter Class and UK Type 26 programs.

January 2020: Rolls-Royce announced that it will hold nearly a 73% majority stake in Berlin-based electricity storage specialist Qinous GmbH. The Group is acquiring the shareholdings of all other current financial investors, including that of investment holdings company IBB Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH (Berlin).

January 2020: Rolls-Royce announced the opening of new facility in Bristol, UK to develop jet engine technologies set to transform flight, reduce emissions and set new benchmarks for efficiency. The composite technology facility will develop fan blades and fan cases which significantly reduce weight in a jet engine, lowering fuel consumption and emissions.
