The leading industrial technology company Roper Technologies, Inc. entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Vertafore, a SaaS solutions provider for the Property & Casualty Insurance Industry for approximately $5.35 billion.
- Vertafores cloud-based software provides agency management, compliance, workflow, and data solutions that simplify and automate the complex property and casualty (P&C) insurance lifecycle.
- Vertafores name, brands, and office locations will not change even after this deal.
- More than 20,000 agencies and 1,000 insurance carriers rely on Vertafore to streamline their processes, improve efficiency, and drive productivity.
In June 2020, Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, and Roper Technologies announced that they have mutually
terminated the agreement under which Thermo Fisher would have acquired Gatan, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Roper. Both companies have agreed to withdraw from the proposed transaction due to challenges in obtaining regulatory approval in the United Kingdom.
