The global industrial automation company Siemens announced to acquire California-based Avatar Integrated Systems Inc., a leading developer of place and route software for integrated circuit (IC) design.

June 2020: Siemens has announced that it signed an agreement to acquire Cambridge, UK-based UltraSoC Technologies Ltd., a provider of instrumentation and analytics solutions.
March 2020: The global clean energy provider Siemens Gamesa announced that it will supply 25 SG 4.5-145 wind turbines for one of the Vietnams largest wind farms. Vietnam has one of the best wind resources in Southeast Asian region.
February 2020: Siemens AG will acquire all the shares of Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy (SGRE) held by Iberdrola S.A. for approximately $1.2 billion. The three companies (Iberdrola, Siemens, and SGRE) have signed a cooperation agreement for specific projects related to wind power generation and to improve the distribution grid.
January 2020: Siemens AG signed an agreement to acquire India based C&S Electric Limited for $296 million, through its Indian subsidiary. C&S Electric is one of the leaders in electrical and electronic equipment for infrastructure, power generation, transmission and distribution in India. The acquisition of C&S Electric will enhance Siemens’ position in India as a key supplier of low-voltage power distribution and electrical installation technology. December 2019: Siemens announced agreements to deliver power generation equipment for two new peaking power plants in the Republic of Belarus. The power plants will be operated in conjunction with the existing Lukomlskaya and Novopolotskaya power plants in the Vitebsk region of Belarus. The new plants are expected to go into operation at the end of 2021.
