The global technology products distributor Tech Data announced its plan to invest approximately $750 million in digital transformation initiatives over the next five years. The digital transformation will allow company to be more agile and responsive to the rapidly evolving needs of its channel partners.

    In February 2020, Tech Data announced that it had partnered with nOps, a provider of a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) cloud management platform for Amazon Web Services (AWS).

    In February 2020, Tech Data announced it had partnered with Software AG, a leading enterprise software provider in the areas of hybrid and B2B integration, Internet of Things (IoT), analytics, process and services. Software AG offerings will enable Tech Data partners to drive innovation with their customers by helping them connect and integrate virtually everything in their businesses – from applications and devices to data and clouds.

    In December 2019, Tech Data announced it had entered into an agreement to acquire the business of Inflow Technologies, a leading value-added distributer with expertise in areas like cybersecurity and networking. The acquisition is subject to customary regulatory approvals and is expected to close during Tech Data’s first quarter of fiscal year 2021.
