Williams Aerospace & Manufacturing acquires California based Aerospace Welding

Williams Aerospace and Manufacturing (WAM), has completed the acquisition of California based Aerospace Welding (AWI). WAM is a Kellstrom Defense company, based in California. AWI engages in precision welding processes, which include spot, seam, stud, and flash welding services for the aerospace and defense markets. After the acquisition of the AWI technical data, tooling, and machine capabilities will become part of the current Kellstrom Defense (KDA) Engineered Products operating segment. Boeing to acquire California-based EnCore Group

Boeing has entered into an agreement to acquire EnCore Group, which is based in California. EnCore Group is a leading aerospace interiors company that designs, certifies, and produces airplane galleys and seats for airlines and also supplies products and components for Boeing. The acquisition of EnCore Group strengthens Boeings internal capabilities and increase innovation within its cabin vertical to provide greater end-to-end value to airline customers. Daher acquired Quest Aircraft Company

Daher, an Aircraft maker, announces the acquisition of Idaho based Quest Aircraft Company, which builds the Kodiak 100 aircraft. The acquisition is a significant step in developing the Daher’s airplane manufacturing business. The acquisition of Quest helps Daher enhance its presence in the general and business aviation segment by offering a wider multi-product range. Daher has globally known for its TBM 910 and TBM 940 very fast turboprop aircraft, Daher’s airplane portfolio has now expanded to include the Kodiak 100. Read more

Onex has acquired Westjet Airlines for $5 billion

Onex Corporation, a Toronto based investment manager, has acquired Westjet Airlines for $5 billion. After the transaction WestJet will operate as a privately-held company. The Calgary-based WestJet Group of Companies, including regional airlines, WestJet Encore and WestJet Link, and ultra-low-cost carrier, offers service to more than 100 destinations in North America, Central America, and European region. MAG Aerospace has acquired Encore Aviation

Virginia based MAG Aerospace has acquired two Australia-based firms; Encore Aviation and Encore Helicopter Maintenance. Encore Aviation is a leading maintenance organisation supporting General Aviation in Australia, and it also provides a home base and deployed engineering and maintenance services to a wide variety of fixed and rotary wing aviation organisations including those contracted to the National Aerial Firefighting Centre in Melbourne. Encore Aviation has started its operation in 2002 in Australia and in the last 18 years the company has grown in personnel and service offerings to enable mission success with its mobile maintenance support servicing capability. Dublin based AerCap sells second aircraft portfolio to Dara Aviation

The global aircraft leasing company, AerCap Holdings N.V has agreed to sell a 19-aircraft portfolio to Dara Aviation, an entity established by NCB Capital. This is the second portfolio acquired by NCB Capital from AerCap. The aircraft portfolio consists of a mix of wide-body and narrow-body aircraft on lease to airlines around the world. As per deal AerCap will provide lease management services including aircraft technical management, and marketing services. AerCap is a leading aircraft leasing company with 1,373 aircraft owned and managed across the world.
