Indias Voltas and Turkeys Arçelik joint venture, Voltbek Home Appliances Private Limited (Voltbek), has announced the opening of its first manufacturing facility in India. The $180 million facility is spread in approximately 60 acres of land in Sanand in Gujarat. The new Voltbek factory will manufacture Home Appliances that include refrigerators and washing machines for domestic markets.
The Sanands state-of-the-art manufacturing facility will leverage Arçeliks expertise in manufacturing and Voltass strong brand presence, and countrywide sales and distribution network. The facility will develop new innovative products designed for Indian consumers. Voltbeks brand Voltas Beko will also produce Direct Cool Refrigerators at the new facility, with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million units by 2025.

- July 2019: Voltas Limited entered into a partnership with Energy Efficient Services Limited (EESL) for the production of energy-efficient air conditioners in India. The new products of the company have a low-noise operation, longer life, energy savings and better capacity control technology.
- February 2019: Voltas Limited has announced to set up a manufacturing facility in Tirupati, in Southern India. The proposed facility would spread over to 65 acres in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The manufacturing facility will manufacture and assemble air conditioners and related cooling products for South Indian customers. The facility would have a manufacturing capacity of more than 1 million units annually. The company aims to produce technologically advanced home appliances and creating local employment opportunities in the region.

- March 2019: Arçelik has bought controlling stake in Singer Bangladesh from Netherlands-based Retail Holdings. Arçelik will pay $75 million for a 57% stake in the company. Singer makes refrigerators, TVs, air conditioners and other products and operates the largest appliance retail network in the country. Singer has been in Bangladesh for more than a century.
- October 2019: Arctic subsidiary of Arçelik which is also the largest appliance producer in Romania opened its new washing machine factory in Ulmi, Dambovita county. This is the first Industry 4.0 factory and first green production unit in Romania and features Industrial Internet of Things applications, smart equipment, interconnected devices and cooperative robotic technologies. The factory was built with an investment of EUR 150 million and has created over 1,400 new jobs. The factory was completed in 17 months and occupies an area of 70 hectares.
