To enhance automation Xerox Holdings Corporation announced the acquisition of CareAR. An augmented reality support platform CareAR provides real-time access to expertise for customers, employees, and field workers.

  • Xerox has expanded its growing software portfolio with this acquisition.
  • With CareAR software, remote agents and experts can virtually see the situation and visually guide a solution using a suite of augmented reality tools via desktop, mobile, and smart glass devices, as if they were in-person.

The prominent deals and expansions by Xerox are featured below:

February 2020: Xerox Holdings Corporation offered to acquire HP to $24 per share, or total consideration of approximately $34 billion. For this transaction Citi is acting as Xerox’s financial advisor, and King & Spalding LLP is providing legal counsel to Xerox. Moelis & Company is acting as financial advisor to Xerox’s independent directors.

February 2020: Xerox had acquired U.K. based Arena Group, a leading software, office technology, solutions, and services provider. With this acquisition the Xerox exceptionally positioned to offer workplace solutions in one of the fastest-growing managed print services segments in Western Europe. The deal will help Xerox to address the growing needs of the SMB market.

January 2020: Xerox subsidiary PARC has signed an agreement with Alcon, the global leader in eye care, to develop innovative new treatments for eye care. The partnership includes a licensing arrangement with Alcon to leverage PARC intellectual property for potential new products, which is expected to enter the market over the next two to four years.

January 2020: Xerox Corporation, has secured $24 billion to acquire H.P. Inc, in binding financing commitments from Citi, Mizuho, and Bank of America. For this transaction, Citi is acting as Xerox’s financial advisor, and King & Spalding LLP is providing legal counsel to Xerox.
